The Great Canadian Landscaping Company Ltd. was founded by Chris O’Donohue in the spring of 2000 in North Vancouver, BC. Since its inception, the business has grown from a maintenance-based provider to a full-service design-build firm able to handle jobs of any size, residential or commercial.

Chris has always had a love for horticulture. Since his early years as a young boy, he has been surrounded by plants, growing up in the garden-centre industry with his father teaching him the basics of horticulture. It was these early experiences that prompted him to continue his education carrying that vast knowledge into a business of his own.

With ambition and knowledge, complimented by a pickup truck and a trailer full of tools, he went door-to-door looking for clients who wanted lawn and garden maintenance services for their home. Chris soon realized that the needs of his clients were growing; no longer did they simply want lawn cutting and leaf removal, so as the business grew, the decision to offer landscape design and renovation propelled The Great Canadian Landscaping Company to the next level. With a team of over sixty staff, thirty trucks, and an artillery of machines and equipment The Great Canadian Landscaping Company has grown into one of the largest providers of landscape design, installation, maintenance and snow services in the Lower Mainland.
